C-5A Liftoff
A C-5A Galaxy from the 105th Airlift Wing, Stewart Air National Guard Base, New York Air National Guard takes off from the 133rd Airlift Wing, St. Paul Minnesota Nov. 22, 2009. The C-5A, one of the largest aircraft in the world and the largest airlifter in the Air Force inventory, has a kneeling landing gear system that permits the aircraft's cargo floor to be lowered to truck-bed height to facilitate vehicle loading and unloading.
