NASA Haughton-Mars Project
A 133rd Airlift Wing, Minnesota Air National Guard C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft in Cambridge Bay, Canada is being used to transport the Haughton-Mars Project Moon-1 Humvee Rover 28 May 2009. HMP supports an exploration program aimed at developing new technologies, strategies, human's factors experience, and field-based operational know-how key to planning the future exploration of the Moon and Mars. The "Moon-1" can be seen with traditional tires for transportation while the tracks will be loaded separately which are needed for the adverse conditions the vehicle must through.
