Twins Armed Services Appreciation Day
Airmen and Soldiers of the Minnesota National Guard carry a large American flag used for the national anthem on the field The Minnesota Twins host the 7th Annual Armed Services Appreciation Day on July 5, 2009 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis , Minnesota. The pregame festivities included Freedom Flight and Liberty Belle hot air balloons, a performance by the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band "Night Wing and ceremonial first pitches by veterans from conflict s dating bat to World War II. During the game the Twins wore caps honoring the five branches of the Armed Services.
