A Minnesota Herc receives a LOX refill
A C-130 Hercules from the 133rd Airlift Wing, Minnesota Air National Guard, receives a Liquid Oxygen refill on the tarmac at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport December 16, 2009. The aircraft has 25 liter liquid oxygen (LOX) type system which provides for 96 man-hours of oxygen at 25,000 feet. The C-130 Hercules primarily performs the tactical portion of the airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas.
