Metal shop removes a corroded section from F-102 Delta Dagger
Staff Sgt. Scott Hanson 133rd Maintenance Squadron sheet metal shop removes a corroded section of aircraft skin from an F-102 Delta Dagger. The Airmen of the sheet metal shop are conducting training by restoring an F-102 prior to the 133rd Air Expo 16 July, 2011. The primary mission of the 133rd MXS sheet metal shop ensures the structural integrity of airframes by checking and replacing corroded sections of airframes. The Airmen of the sheet metal shop are conducting training during a drill weekend by replacing sections of an F-102 Delta Dagger preparing the aircraft for later addition to the Air Museum on base.
