Colonel Greg A. Haase is the commander of the 133rd Airlift Wing, Minnesota Air National Guard, St. Paul, Minnesota. The 133rd Airlift Wing is comprised of the 133rd Operations Group, the 109th Airlift Squadron, the 133rd Maintenance Group, 133rd Medical Group, and the 133rd Mission Support Group. In addition, the 133rd Airlift Wing provides support to the 210th Engineering Installation Squadron and the 208th Weather Flight. The 133rd Airlift Wing is responsible for organizing, equipping and training personnel for worldwide deployments to provide necessary combat-ready forces to combatant commanders, Air Mobility Command and the state of Minnesota. Colonel Haase is responsible for the war fighting capability and operational readiness of the unit assigned C-130 aircraft, equipment and personnel.
Colonel Haase graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He then enlisted in the North Dakota Air National Guard in 1983 and attended Avionics Aerospace Ground Equipment training at Lowry Air Force Base CO. After completing the course as an honor graduate in 1984, he worked as a traditional guard member on the F-4 Phantom while pursuing a master's degree in civil engineering.
Colonel Haase was selected for undergraduate pilot training with the 133rd Airlift Wing in 1985, completed the course as an "Academic Ace" in 1986 and became a chief pilot in 1996. In 1998 he was selected as the 109th Airlift Squadron commander, his first of many command assignments. In 2002, he was selected by the Air National Guard to attend the prestigious National Security Fellows Program at Harvard University. Prior to his current position, Colonel Haase was the commander of 133rd Maintenance Group.
